The site's source code is the property of the publisher. The health index data are published by Statbel (Directorate-General Statistics of the Belgian FPS Economy) under the Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 licence. The citation of Belgian legal texts (Law of 6 August 1993, Royal Decree of 24 December 1993, regional decrees) is free in accordance with public use.
The site's editorial content (guides, FAQ, methodology) is protected by copyright. Any reproduction without prior authorisation is prohibited, except for short citations with attribution.

The indexation-loyer.be website provides an informative calculation tool and educational explanations on rent indexation in Belgium. It does not constitute legal advice. The calculations and explanations are provided for informational purposes only and cannot engage the publisher's liability.
For any disputed or complex situation, we recommend consulting a lawyer specialised in real estate law or referring to the justice of the peace of the commune concerned (free procedure).
Personal data (GDPR)
No personal data is retained by the site during an indexation calculation. The parameters entered into the calculator transit through our API but are neither logged nor associated with your identity.
If you use the contact form, your name, email and message are forwarded by email to the publisher (contact@edouardhennin.com) and then deleted from the server. No database stores this information.
When you use the letter generator (the « PDF Wizard ») to receive your indexation letter by email, we retain an anonymous hash (SHA-256) of your email address paired with non-identifying metadata (region, EPC class, year of lease signature, interface language). This hash is irreversible: it does not allow your clear-text email to be recovered. Purpose: anonymous internal statistics (legitimate interest, GDPR art. 6.1.f) and long-term abuse detection. Your email address in clear text is only kept during the 24 h of the temporary PDF download link, then automatically purged.
The site uses no tracking cookies or advertising. No intrusive third-party analytics (Google Analytics, etc.) is enabled.
Annual indexation reminder (opt-in) — if you tick the "remind me next year" box, we store your email address, your lease parameters (base rent, signature date, indexation date, region, EPC class, language) and proof of your consent (date, IP address), for the sole purpose of sending you one email per year with the newly calculated amount (art. 6.1.a GDPR — consent). This email may mention the publisher's other tools. Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link; deactivated subscriptions are deleted after 13 months. Immediate deletion can be requested via the contact form.
Cookies
The site uses only one technical cookie to store your language preference (FR/NL/EN). This cookie remains on your browser and is not shared with any third party. You can delete it at any time via your browser's settings.
